Augier SA is a public company with 67 employees based in Carros and with several sales agents around the world. The company's commercial network covers the whole of France and the export markets are rapidly expanding.

Augier SA is part of the O.C.E.M  international group .

A brief history of the company

The Augier SA workshops were founded in 1930 by Fortuné Augier and were used for repairing electrical equipment. The workshops became a public company in 1954 and really expanded with the arrival of Fortuné’s son, Georges Augier.

  • In 1966, Augier SA created the Medium Voltage concept for public lighting with equipment designed for 3.2 or 5.5 kV networks and the waterproof and corrosion resistant transformer for expressways, bridges and tunnels.
  • In 1974, Augier SA developed an epoxy resin transformer for airfield lighting, which, among others sites, is installed at Roissy for ADP (Paris Airports).
  • In 1984, Augier SA bought SET - a subsidiary of Legrand - to offer a complete range of Constant Current Regulators (CCR) for airfield lighting networks.
  • In 1991, Augier SA introduced a fully digital Constant Current Regulator.
  • In 1994, Augier SA introduced the compact substation for public lighting and perimeter fence lighting at airports (Chek-Lap-Kok - Hong Kong airport).
  • In 1998, Augier SA introduces its Transistorised Constant Current Regulator (TCCR) type TRO. The change from thyristors to transistors avoids the "zero time delay" generators, because they are replaced with static sine wave generators. This change ensures that the CCR equipment complies with the CEM standards.
  • In 1999, Augier SA develops the STB remote control airfield application (dedicated to AGL application), which utilises the power carrier line technology. This technology provides new prospects and opportunities in the areas of monitoring and control of airfield lighting circuits. The STB application has already been installed successfully at Roissy (Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris) for ADP specifically for control and monitoring of 52 stop bars.
  • In 2001, AUGIER become a part of O.C.E.M international group
