Dry Type Tranformers
Augier manufactures two different types of dry type transformers, varnished impregnated and cast epoxy resin.

The TTAIE transformers are designed to supply long distance public lighting networks from the High Voltage distribution networks (HV from 10 to 24 kV) by stepping-down the voltage to Medium Voltage (MV from 1 to 6.9 kV). The TTAIE transformer can be supplied with oil immersed coils or with the more efficient dry type cast epoxy resin coils. All MV coils below 7,200 V are varnish impregnated. The power rating range is from 100 to 3,000 kVA (other specifications on request). The epoxy resin coating of the TTAIE transformer is totally fire resistant and will not release toxic gasses in the event of an accident. This inert character makes it ideal for use in high-risk environments or in public places such as

The varnish impregnated coating of the TTAI transformer provides a more cost-effective solution than the cast epoxy resin technology when the required insulation level is not above 7,200 V. The TTAI is built with copper windings and it can be used for power ratings up to 400 kVA. This type of transformer is included in the step-up and step-down compact substations (PCEL and PCAB) for long distance public lighting (voltages from 1 to 6.9 kV).
