TED Buriable Tranformers
 

The TED transformers are intended to supply long distance public lighting networks from Medium Voltage networks (MV 1 to 6.9 kV) by stepping-down the voltage to Low Voltage (LV 120 to 415 V).

The TED transformers are standardised products ready for use. They comprise of not only the MV/LV transformer, but also the MV and LV protection devices as well as the epoxy resin enclosure for the MV primary and LV secondary circuits.

Standard Features

 
  • The epoxy resin enclosure provides an IP 68 class protection (watertight under 1 meter of water), which gives the TED a very long lifetime even in humid and hostile environments. 
  • The TED offers a total protection in order to simplify installation and maintenance procedures, which is achieved by integrating the MV fuses and using plug-in connectors for the LV circuit breaker. 
  • The power rating range is from 400 VA to 32 kVA (other specifications on request).
  • Power ratings from 50 to 100 kVA can be offered with a metallic enclosure that is epoxy resin painted.

  • One pole transformer between two phases of a three pole network

TEH-TTT MV / LV Outdoor Transformer

The TEH TTT transformers is designed to transform three phase MV voltage at 5500 V down to 410 V (no load). The different power ratings available for the transformer is especially chosen to match the standards of public lighting applications.

The TEH is designed for outdoor installations. The watertight metal tank is specially treated against corrosion, which allows it to be installed in a sublevel accessible concrete pit.

  • The AD7 environment certification allows the transformer to be partially or wholly covered in water on a temporary basis
  • Protection level at IP 68
  • LV output through 4 single pole cables of H 07 RNF (TEH 50 and 80 kVA has 4 x 1 x 35 mm2, while TEH 100 kVA has 4 x 1 x 50 mm2 cable cross-sections.)
  • The LV neutral is connected to the earth terminal inside the transformer
  • MV protection through three HRC fuses with a breaking capacity at 15 kVA
  • The earth connection rods are soldered to the cover and the tank
  • Three thermal probes incorporated in the windings ensure thermal protection of the equipment
  • The tap changer for voltage adjustments is operated by a switch and it is only operational at off-load.
  • Power ratings 50, 80, 100 kVA
  • Primary voltage 5500 V (other values on request)
  • Primary winding insulation 7,2 kV
  • Secondary no-load voltage 410 V (other values on request)
  • Secondary winding insulation 1,1 kV
  • Vector group at 50 kVA is Yzn 11, at 80 &100 kVA is Dyn 11
  • The impulse withstand voltage is 60 kV - wave 1/50
  • The power frequency withstand is 22 kV at 50 Hz for 1 minute
  • Dielectric is oil
  • Off-load adjustment plugs + 5, + 7,5 % (other values on request).

Modulo, Mono and Tri System
 

The Modulo-bloc system consists of a TEE transformer, an IDR connection interface and auxiliary equipment.
he Modulo TRI has been designed for three phase 5500 V networks, whilst the Modulo BI has been designed for single phase 3200 V networks. Other specifications below 7200 V on request

CBT LV Protection Cabinet

                  Main Benefits
 
  • A flexible system for professional energy distribution 
  • The system is designed for ease of use - the connection points sit outside the transformer (see picture opposite) and can easily be accessed. 
  • The system is easy to operate through the direct access to all input, output, and diversion points

                  Standard Features
 
  • Reliability is implemented throughout the design 
  • The waterproof transformer installed at the bottom of the pit has the connection points outwith the transformer.
  • The one pole connection concept is designed for assembly and reduces the risk of faults to a minimum with two or three pole assembling to facilitate installation and maintenance operations 
  • The connection point offers the combined advantages of the one pole and the multi pole technology without the disadvantages. 

 

                  Connection Interface IDR
 

An interconnection box is fixed on the wall of the pit. It comprises of fixed plug sockets assuring the operation of the input line, output line, diversion, verification of the absence of voltage, earthing and short circuiting plug socket.

The two versions of the IDR interface, a three pole plug (FTR) and single pole plug (FUD), makes the interface versatile and allows for multiple connections. 

 

                  TEE Transformers (MV / LV)
 

The transformer is waterproof and submergible with its IP 68 protection. It is delivered with low voltage cable straps and two or three MV cable straps ready to use. It is also equipped with MV protection by a HRC fuse. 

  • For single phase and power ratings from 2 to 8 kVA, the TEE transformer is a Monobloc, cast epoxy resin. 
  • For single phase and power ratings from 10 to 50 kVA, the TEE transformer has derived from the Augier TED series. 
  • For three phase and power ratings from 5 to 32 kVA, the TEE transformer has derived from the Augier TED series. 
  • For three phase and power ratings from 50 to 160 kVA, the TEE transformer has derived from the Augier TEH series. 

 

                  CBT LV Protection Cabinet
 

The CBT protection box is delivered separately if desired. It consists of one circuit breaker activated by the thermal probe within the transformer or any other type of protection.
